                weare glad to welcome you and your students to participate in the all indiaabacus & mental arithmetic competition and graduation to be held on28.02.2015.the competition will be held in 12 categories, with varying groupsin each category. please see attached circular for details on the categoriesand groups. also please find attached a sample application form. the centersneed to register students for the competition by sending the applications.

competitiontime           :               8:30 am to 1:00 pm

graduationtime             :               10:00 am to 12:00 pm

prizedistribution            :               4:00 pm to 8:00 pm

competitionfee: rs.600/- per student. last date for receipt of receipt of competitionfee along with application should reach us on or before 10^th jan2015. the total amount should be sent in the form of demand draft in favor ofjayavidya education & learning systems pvt ltd, payable at chennai.

prizes: onechampion on and 7 runner-ups for each category. certificates will be providedfor all the participants. participants will receive consolation prizes &medals according to the marks they obtain. all

the participating centers will also receive acertificate and memento.

terms  andconditions:

1.      center heads and parent should read “rules ®ulations’’ prior signing

2.      by signing this application, parents (on behalfo the students) and center agree to all the conditions of the ‘’competition  - 2015’’

3.      student school id card xerox must be attachedalong with the  application form

4.      student level certificate xerox issued withinthe last 6 months must be attached along with the application  form

5.      incomplete/ unfilled application forms will berejected. all particulars should be filled up completely with out anycorrection or over writing

6.      competition fee should be paid along withapplication form without fail

7.      last date of receipt for completed applicationto be submitted as the organizers office is 10-01-2015, 09.00 pm

8.      time of competition  for each student  will be mentioned in hall ticket based on thegroup selected

rules and regulations

1.      objectives

the competition aims in its efforts to fulfill the following

1.      give chance for each student to compete atnational  level

2.      promote and advocate the learning of abacus andmental  arithmetic

3.      elevate the standard of performance of learnersof abacus and mental arithmetic

4.      foster a closer relationship between the course instructors and students ofvarious centers

5.      certify ones capability in abacus  or mental arithmetic

3.      validation and disqualification

1)     student level certificate xerox issued withinthe last 6 months should be attached with each application form and will betaken for validation to find out the correct term for each and every student

2)     in case a students  is found to be admitted into lower categoryof competition than actual completed level,

·        student will not be issued hall ticket

·        the franchise / centre concerned shall benotified in letter  of warning and willbe automatically disqualified for future competitions

4.       entry& exit procedure for students

1.       studentsof any batch should report half an hour before the scheduled time ofcompetition at the entry gate/s of the hall or as indicated in the hall ticket

2.       entrywill not  be permitted through the gateother than that specified in the hall ticket

3.       studentwill enter  into the hall after gettingthe hall ticket checked by personnel  onduty

5.       judging

1.       question  and answer sheets are the property of jelspvt ltd and shall not be circulated after the exam even on request

2.       therewill be a panel of judges from the participating centers

3.       inthe event of a tie amongst the participants, the jury will rank theparticipants based on accuracy rate vis-à-vis the attempted sums and / or thehighest score in addition / subtraction

4.       incase a tie persists, the lower age student will be declared winner

5.       ifa tie still persists, all will be declared as winners

6.       thedecision of the jury is final and no further correspondences shall beentertained

          6. marks  for all levels

1.      each sum inaddition/subtraction/multiplication/division- 1 mark
