i am very much glad and exited to be among the distinguished personal finance planners in india and would therefore be called a cfp.
i have been into personal finance practice since december 2000 and served with honest advices and services to retail investors in the city of guwahati. but there was always a guilt of not having along a professional degree of good standard that would differentiate me with others who work only for the sake of business and commissions earnings
i always disliked the practise in which the insurance agents in india were compelled to work. i always felt in genuine, the way the insurance companies forced its agents to sale insurance products in the sake of getting certain merits and high commissions and moreover because of the absence of planning and analysis of clients need .in fact i wanted to be in the club of those who liked planning before advising financial products.
fortunately, one fine day, about 2 years back i heard about cfp course and did a thorough study on it and determined that this was the one which i was long waiting for and such profession is much needed in the country like india. initially i registered myself with regular course and cleared the insurance paper.
but in april 2015 i came to know that i was eligible for fast track pathway .in the same time i also heard about mr keyur shah and in june 2015 i made my mind to take class room coaching with him by moving to mumbai for it .i therefore mail mr keyur shah and called him personally. it was a very nice and helpful conversation ,i got some confidence even in the initial talk.
mr shah however after much discussion advised me to go for video coaching, though i was not convinced for it as i thought i would need someone who could make me feel his presence that would make me more confident to clear my exams. but later in july 2015 i took a chance with video coaching on his advice and later found him right. i cleared cfp in 19 january 2016 in first attempt but could manage the last grade.
video coaching is much better procedure for the coaching and now i could say that without the dedicated support of mr keyur shah and his video coaching it is almost impossible to clear cfp in fast track pathway at least.
he is genuinely a class coach and i believe that he is more committed to make his aspirant a cfp than the aspirant himself or herself.
