wewould like to brief you about ourselves, our business, its establishment andhistory. prr travels started functioning on the 30th of december 1994. in thebeginning, we were rendering our services to individuals and other small-scaleindustries based in ambattur industrial estate by outsourcing the entire fleetfrom private vehicle owners and other existing tourist car operators.
inthe due course, by 2004, we added several corporate clients like technip,ericsson, tpl, and ongc. with this, our operational focus becamecorporate-centric and we became a major stakeholder in the smooth operations ofthese corporate houses by ensuring their manpower reaches its destinationson-time, every time.
in 2005, we shifted our office premises to our wholly owned building at annanagar. we added bus & van operations to our business and started addingthese vehicles to our fleet. with an intention to be recognized on par with thethen existing players like, k.p.n., srs, and parveen travels, we also startedoperating omni-buses to dindigul and theni. subsequently, we received ordersfrom spic pharma & delphi tvs to operate buses and vans for their officetransportation. since we are professional and committed towards customersatisfaction, with many mnc from sezs were lining up requesting our services,we refrained ourselves from the omni-bus business to concentrate on our corecompetency, which is, corporate fleet operations.
apartfrom the exclusive agreement with renault nissan automotive (car plant), wehave entered into several agreements with apollo tyres (tyre manufacturingunit), amalgamation valeo at oragadam, kancheepuram district , and mrf tyres atarakkonam and capgemini at mahindra city, mrf tyres - ark, mrf tyres - tvr,ashok leyland deere, doosan, gamesa, hexaware.
currently, our fleet consists of over 260 vehicles spanning cars, vans, andbuses; our business operates 24 hours with staff working on shifts, withsupervisory staffs and individual gm for managing operations, maintenance, andaccounts. our operations team is divided into nine difference zones consistingof maintenance and driver teams and independent zone-in-charges maintain thetiming, routing, and sundry maintenance issues. we have our own garage andparking lots at four different locations around the city with mobilemaintenance team inspecting the vehicles with routine checkups and en route. weprovide adequate training on road safety and periodical medical checkup for allstaff-in-charge including the drivers.
